Upcycle, Recycle and Repurpose a Vintage Suitcase.

I have such a love and passion for old vintage suitcases. I have quite the collection now. Some from my childhood and some new "old" purchases. You can see some of my old suitcases in my Happy Little Bluebirds market stall. I pack and carry all my market gear in the suitcases and I can then use them as a display prop.

I love the history behind any old object but an old suitcases make me ponder..."Where have you been?" Where you used for Vacations? Summer camps? Ski trips? Business trips? School? I bet there would be a few tales to tell.

I recently got my hands on a vintage suitcase and it was covered in old travel stickers. Such a great find!

Are you in a Board Mood?

Are you in a Board Mood?

In preparation of creating my Spring/Summer styles for Happy Little Bluebirds, I have decided I need to get all my ideas and inspiration images up on my studio wall. Sometimes my brain overflows with ideas and this is why I often find it hard to switch off at night and get some sleep. 

I am hoping that by organising some sort of order to my collection of images, fabric and lace samples, colour swatches etc, and creating a few different mood boards, I will be constantly inspired and work in a more effective and creative manner.

So I decided to seek inspiration for my inspiration so to speak....
